High-Value Materials and High-Risk Site Work Management Standard
Risk management
Standard for reporting, rounds, protection and records where high-value items, brand fixtures or precision equipment create damage risk. For the notice, see notice page.
1. Purpose
To aim for zero damage to high-value items, brand fixtures and precision equipment on sites with high-value products, flooring, marble, mirrors, glass, etc. To standardize reporting for high-risk sites and rounds and protection by the person in charge.
2. High-Risk Criteria
If any of the following apply, treat as high-risk. Report to the person in charge in advance.
When site is high-risk
- Glass floor
- High-value flooring (marble, tile, etc.)
- Mirror-finished walls
- Display items, brand fixtures
- Work near precision equipment
3. Role of Person in Charge (Rounds)
The person in charge shall walk the entire site before work starts. Confirm location of high-value materials, traffic, contact and fall risks, base placement, step-ladder use positions. Do not allow work to start without this confirmation. During work, make regular rounds and confirm no hazardous conditions.
4. Protection
After laying blue sheet, set plastic sheet in two layers. Floor must have protection material. Double protection for glass and marble in principle. Contact-prevention protection for mirrors and fixtures. Do not start work with insufficient protection.
5. Tool Management
Bag management in principle. Bring only necessary tools; drop-prevention for small tools. No direct placement of tools. See Tool and belt-worn tool management standard for detail.
6. Step-Ladder and Posture
Confirm stable placement, adequate clearance; no sideways stance; no work in forced posture. Follow Step-ladder carrying and handling for carry and placement.
7. Photo Records (Before/After)
Record full view before work, existing damage, full view after work. Keep before-and-after records.
8. Abnormal Situation Response
If damage or contact is suspected
- Stop work immediately
- Report to person in charge
- Photo record
Do not continue on your own judgment.
Risk Level Decision Flow
High-value materials present? (Glass floor, marble, mirror, displays, near precision equipment, etc.)
↓ YES → Report to person in charge in advance
↓ Person in charge shares with relevant parties that site is high-risk
↓ Walk entire site and confirm before work starts
↓ Double protection (blue sheet then plastic sheet in two layers; principle for glass/marble); do not start with insufficient protection
↓ Make regular rounds during work
↓ If abnormal: stop immediately, report, photo record
