Pre- and Post-Work Check Standards
(KY implementation and supervisor conduct)
Common confirmation standards for all work. Thoroughly implement pre-work risk confirmation and supervisor conduct, and post-work confirmation to prevent accidents, damage and restoration defects.
1. Purpose
To prevent accidents, damage and restoration defects, we define confirmation standards common to all work.
2. Pre-Work Confirmation (KY Standards)
Items to confirm on the day. Where applicable, perform individual risk confirmation.
- Step-ladder work
- Work at height
- Drilling
- Access panel removal
- Board removal
- Concurrent work with other companies
- Work near high-value materials
- Protection status around base
- Under-floor opening work
Do not assume "same as usual".
Confirm against the day’s environment.
3. Supervisor Conduct
The supervisor is the person ensuring safety.
- In principle, do not perform the work yourself
- Focus on surrounding confirmation and schedule coordination
- Start work only after hazards are eliminated and confirmed
The supervisor’s top priority is
"Never cause a problem"
4. Post-Work Confirmation (Exit Check)
- Confirm nothing left behind
- Confirm doors locked
- Confirm access panels closed
- Confirm floor and ceiling restored
- Confirm cleaning
Do not relax until the very end.
