Site Base Management Standard
site-control (base, protection, traffic)
Standard for managing the "base" as the starting point of site work, to prevent accidents, damage and fire risk. For the notice, see notice page.
1. Purpose
To standardize base management and prevent accidents, damage and fire risk. Use the site as "borrowed space" properly and ensure it is returned in better condition than before setup.
2. Basic Understanding
"The site is borrowed space."
Tidiness, protection, placement, fire measures and removal reflect our responsibility to protect and return that space.
3. Tidiness and Organization
At the base and work area, satisfy the following:
- Materials and tools in designated places; do not block passage
- Waste and scraps disposed in designated areas
- Cables and hoses arranged so they are not trodden or snagged
- At end of work, complete tidiness for the day’s scope
4. Protection
Implement protection for floor, wall, fixtures and valuables.
- Floor: Lay protection sheet/board on work area and bring-in route
- Wall: Protect areas that need it with protection sheet
- Fixtures/displays: Protect or relocate when contact risk exists
- High-value materials (glass, marble, etc.): Enter work only after protection is confirmed
5. Placement
The base (material and tool area) shall be placed where traffic is secured. Do not block passage, emergency exits or other companies’ work areas.
6. Fire Risk Management
Fire risk management is the top priority.
Observe handling of heat-generating equipment and combustibles, use of outlets and extension cords, and no-smoking/no-open-flame zones. Do not leave combustibles around the base.
7. Removal (Restoration Principle)
"Return in better condition than before setup."
- Remove all protection materials, materials and waste
- Confirm no damage or soiling to floor, wall, fixtures; repair or clean if needed
- Person in charge performs final confirmation; hand over site when no issues
