S-TEKT Corporation prohibits live-line work in principle as part of strengthening the Safety and Quality System. The following must be strictly complied with.

1. Principle: Prohibition of Live-Line Work

S-TEKT Corporation prohibits live-line work in principle as part of strengthening the Safety and Quality System.

Live-line work in electrical construction is a high-risk activity that can lead to serious accidents. We prioritize the safety of workers over any efficiency or schedule. We also fulfill our responsibility to protect equipment in our care and to meet customer trust.

This notice is implemented under management responsibility and cannot be waived by site-level judgment alone.

2. Exception Conditions (Under Management Approval)

When live-line work is deemed unavoidable, the following conditions must be all satisfied.

No Condition
1Reasonable justification that power shutdown is technically or socially impossible
2Prior approval from management or safety oversight
3Submission of detailed work procedure and safety meeting
4Ensuring required insulating PPE, training, and supervision
5Assignment of a watcher during work

Any live-line work without approval is prohibited.

3. Role and Responsibilities of Management

S-TEKT Corporation guarantees the following:

  • Promotion of work plans that allow power shutdown
  • Elimination of unreasonable schedule or work pressure
  • Adequate provision of safety equipment and tools
  • Protection of equipment in our care and ensuring quality and safety that meet customer trust
  • Regular safety training and risk assessment
  • Respect and protection of workers’ right to refuse unsafe work

Refusal or judgment based on safety shall not result in any disadvantage.
