To all partner companies
To all in-house workers

From the perspective of ensuring safety and maintaining quality in site work, we hereby unify the operation of belt-worn tools and tool management as follows.

This notice applies to all sites.

1. Basic Principle

Belt-worn tools are not "standard equipment".

They may be used only when work conditions are in place.

In principle, tools shall be managed in a bag (bag management).

2. When to Use Bag Management (Principle)

Use of belt-worn tools is prohibited in the following situations:

  • During bring-in and bring-out
  • Before protection (e.g. floor/wall covering) is in place
  • When the work area is not yet determined
  • When workers from other companies are present in density
  • Premium interior sites (e.g. glass floor, marble, tile)
  • Work near display fixtures or precision equipment

In these phases, necessary tools shall be taken from the bag each time.

3. Conditions for Allowing Belt-Worn Tools

Belt-worn tools may be used only when all of the following are satisfied:

  • Protection work completed
  • Work scope determined
  • Surrounding safety confirmed
  • Drop and contact risks judged to be manageable

Transition to work mode is made upon confirmation by the person in charge.

4. High-Risk Site Exception

On sites that fall under the following, bag management is the principle:

  • Glass floor
  • Premium interior
  • Display or fixture dense areas
  • Atrium / open structure

If belt-worn tools must be used, take drop-prevention measures for small tools.

5. Role of Person in Charge

The person in charge shall:

  • Judge whether belt-worn tools may be used based on the day’s work
  • Prioritize safety confirmation and not focus only on their own work
  • Maintain an environment where problems do not occur

as their primary duty.

6. Purpose of This Notice

This is not intended to reduce work efficiency.

It is standardization to prevent accidents, damage, and loss of trust.

Do not use belt-worn tools for convenience; use them only when safety is ensured.

Please adhere to this approach.

Safety and quality are the organization’s responsibility, not left to individuals.

We ask for your understanding and thorough implementation.
