[Notice] Floor Material Removal and Restoration for Under-Floor Wiring

Strictly comply with the following for removal and restoration of floor material (OA floor, panels, etc.) in connection with under-floor wiring work.
Applies to all sites.

1. Supervisor Assignment

  • Floor material removal must be carried out with a supervisor in attendance
  • The supervisor shall focus on safety confirmation and surrounding confirmation
  • Do not rush with unreasonable scheduling

2. Pre-Work Confirmation

Before starting work, carry out the following:

  • Clarify work scope
  • Confirm position of surrounding fixtures and precision equipment
  • Confirm floor material type and fixing method
  • Confirm existing damage, warping, looseness
  • Protection around the opening

3. Pre-Work Photos

  • Full view before removal
  • Photos of existing damage or soiling
  • Layout of floor material

Existing defects must be recorded.

4. During Removal

  • Do not pry forcibly
  • Use dedicated tools
  • When lifting floor material, hold with both hands
  • Large panels: work with two or more persons
  • Removed floor material: lay flat and protect
  • No leaning against walls

5. Opening Safety

  • Do not leave openings unattended
  • Post attention signs around openings
  • When leaving, temporary restoration or protection board is mandatory
  • Do not place tools or materials in the opening

Fall prevention is the top priority.

6. Under-Floor Work

  • Check contact with existing wiring and piping
  • Prevent heavy objects from falling
  • Dust and swarf measures
  • Check interference with other companies’ equipment

7. Restoration Confirmation

  • Restore in original position and orientation
  • Confirm level difference and looseness
  • Confirm gaps
  • Confirm wiring is not pinched
  • Confirm height with surrounding floor

The supervisor shall perform final confirmation.

8. Post-Restoration Photos

  • Full view after restoration
  • Finish confirmation photos

Records must be kept.

9. Removal Completion Confirmation

  • Confirm nothing left behind
  • Confirm opening is restored
  • Confirm cleaning
